The Otter Run & Challenge presented by Hi-Tec has been dubbed “the Grail of Trails”. At 42km it is a full trail marathon that traverses South Africa’s most iconic hiking trail; the Otter Trail, arguably one of the most beautiful trails on the planet. The Otter Run & Challenge are the only times when trail running is permitted on the Otter Trail.
Magnetic South, in association with SANParks offers this incredible opportunity to run the full length of the OTTER Trail once every year.
OTTER RUN:
12 + 13 October 2012: with a cut-off of 8 hours only, the OTTER Run is only for elite Trail Runners
OTTER CHALLENGE:
14 + 15 October 2012: with a more lenient 11 hours cut-off time this race can be achieved by an experienced Trail Runner.
