Montagu is situated on South Africa's famous Route 62, approximately two hours' drive from Cape Town and half way between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn. This peaceful hamlet is steeped in history and famous for its awe-inspiring rock formations, orchards, vineyards and healing hot mineral springs.

It is an ideal base for excursions to the nearby Breede River Valley, one of the most famous wine producing regions in South Africa, or a trip up the Ouberg Pass into the Karoo proper.
