This International Award Winning Restaurant is situated on the shores of Walker Bay and is carved into the depthas of a century old cave extending over the rocks to the waters edge. It is in the heart of the best land-based whale watching area in the world and is a prime tourist attraction in one of the most beautiful Marine Reserves in the Western Cape, overlooking the only whale sanctuary on the African continent. Bientang's Cave is also known as the best whale-watching restaurant in the world. The Southern Right whale visits our shores every year from May until December, and here you can sit on our deck, enjoying delicious seafood and drinking the best wines that the Cape has to offer while watching whales lazing in the ocean a mere 100m away.

We also offer a full a la carte menu consisting of various seafood, daily specials and various delectable desserts and coffees. Bientang's Cave is renowned for our hot and cold platters consisting of oysters, prawns, mussels, calamari and line fish - or create your own combination!
