La Cabrière Country House is a beautiful provencale-style retreat with panoramic views of the breathtaking Franschhoek mountains and valley. La Cabriere is a perfectly located haven of peace and tranquility, slightly removed from the vibrant and buzzing village, yet within walking distance of all Franschhoek has to offer.

There have been some exciting changes to the landscaping in recent months. This winter we constructed a 40 meter natural lake at the lower end of the property, and planted a beautiful forest of young indigenous trees. These additions are sure to attract some beautiful species of birdlife to the area. The mountains reflected off the water in the lake, create an idyllic backdrop as one lazes at the poolside at sundown witt a cup of tea nad home-made carrot cake.

La Cabriere Country House provides the ideal base from which to enjoy activities all around the Cape. A whale-watching trip to Hermanus or a trip up Table Mountain is little more than one hours drive from Franschhoek, and there are many other places of interest to experience more locally in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek itself. In addition to being the culinary and wine capital, Franschhoek also offersmber of other activities to keep you busy in Franschhoek itself. Wine-tasting on horseback is very popular, as well as bicycle hire and hiking trails in the Mont Rochelle Mountains.

All the frinedly staff at La Cabriere Country house are more than happy to help you put together an itinerary. Luxurious treatments at nearby spas, and massages within the comfort of your own room are also possibilities to end a day of activity, rounded off with a sundowner at the poolside back at La Cabriere. You will have the opportunity to experience the very best Franschhoek has to offer. All our 6 rooms are individually and luxuriously decorated with antique furniture. The three deluxe rooms are located in the detached cottage with their own fireplaces, terraces and uninterrupted views of the Franschhoek valley and mountains. The other three rooms are part of the main house, two of which face to the front of the property and enjoy views to the mountains at the head of the valley.
